Another First Watch in Indianapolis!

A couple months ago I did a review of a new restaurant in Indianapolis called First Watch. The food was very good and we had a great time. You can read my review HERE. Well, GREAT news for all you First Watch fans, they opened a SECOND First Watch Restaurant in Indianapolis! I have to admit that I am a bit jealous, I wish they would open one down here in Southern Indiana as well, maybe in the Evansville area, hint hint!

Check out the Press Release for the new restaurant:

FIRST WATCH OPENS SECOND RESTAURANT IN INDIANAPOLIS
“Daytime Café” continues expansion in Indiana

Indianapolis Award-winning Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch restaurant First Watch expanded its presence in Indianapolis this week with the opening of a new restaurant downtown by the Market Tower building. The 4,000 sq. ft. restaurant, located at 143 N. Illinois St. between Ohio and Market streets, is now the second First Watch in the Indianapolis market.

First Watch debuted in Indianapolis earlier this year with the opening of its first restaurant across from the Fashion Mall at the Keystone Crossing Shoppes. The company expects to open a total of five to six restaurants in the market over the next two to four years. Each restaurant employs about 25 local employees.

“Downtown Indianapolis is a vibrant, thriving area, and we believe our new restaurant at Market Tower will provide a fresh, new option for early morning power breakfasts, midday lunches and weekend occasions,” says Chris Tomasso, chief marketing officer for First Watch. “Our restaurant at Keystone has been so well received in such a short amount of time, and we expect an even greater response to our unique Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch creations Downtown.”

The restaurant features a new interior design concept called “Urban.” Highlighting stained concrete floors throughout, with deep, rich colors and a layout that maximizes natural light provided during the restaurant’s daytime hours, Urban is meant to convey the welcoming personality of the First Watch brand. The design also accentuates the restaurant’s open-kitchen, which reinforces First Watch’s honest approach to fresh food preparation.

First Watch is known for delivering an excellent dining experience and fast, friendly service. A recipient of more than 200 “Best Of” accolades in markets across the country, the restaurant features traditional favorites including pancakes, omelets, salads and sandwiches, as well as signature specialties such as the Chickichanga®, Healthy Turkey Omelet™ and Fresh Fruit Crepes. All menu items are freshly prepared to order and the restaurant does not use deep fryers or heat lamps.

In addition to serving unique and fresh entrées, First Watch offers its exclusive
Sunrise Select® Premium Blend Coffee. The special blend is made from slow-roasted, hand-selected, high-grown Panamanian, Colombian and Mexican coffee beans.

First Watch serves its entire menu seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The restaurant also offers guests complimentary newspapers and free Wi-Fi Internet access.

About First Watch
First Watch has specialized in award-winning, made-to-order Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch for nearly 30 years. A recipient of more than 200 “Best Breakfast” and “Best Brunch” accolades, First Watch offers traditional favorites such as omelets, pancakes, sandwiches and salads, to unique specialty items like the fan-favorite Chickichanga® and Fresh Fruit Crepes. It is currently the largest and fastest-growing daytime-only restaurant concept in the U.S. with nearly 100 restaurants in 14 states and additional units under development as part of the Bradenton, Fla.-based company’s aggressive growth strategy.  For more information, visit www.firstwatch.com.

Women's Church Retreat 2012

Yesterday I had mentioned going on a Women's Church Retreat. All I can say is Wow, God is AWESOME! Our group of 13 women stayed at a house on Lake Berkly in Kentucky. It was beautiful and refreshing to be on the lake.

I had SO much fun and learned SO much. Not only did I learn about God, but about myself and the other women as well. I am just amazed at everything that I was able to experience in just a three day weekend!

I could go on and on and on about everything that happened, but I will just give you a summary of what I learned:

Sometimes you have to STOP and listen. Get away from your normal day to day life and jump out of your "box". Listen to what God has to tell you, He is always there and can speak to you directly or indirectly through people and situations. Pray! Pray all the time and don't be afraid to be specific. His answer is NEVER "No." It is either "Yes," "Not Now," or " I have something better planned." Seek God in everything and every situation and Praise HIM! Never stop doing, the moment you STOP doing, your faith dies. You have to make time to STAY IN YOUR WORD! You can read the same passage 50 times and on the 50th time learn something TOTALLY different and new! Don't be afraid of the gifts God gives you, trust that He knows exactly what He is doing and act on those gifts.

I'm sure you may be saying, well that is silly, I've heard a lot of those comments before, why is she JUST now getting it. Well, being TOLD something and LIVING IT are totally different things. The last line was something that I had been battling with a lot lately. Through the Retreat, I was able totally surrender to God and use the gift he has given me. It was both exhilarating and terrifying at the same time! I know God has great plans for me and I am so excited to learn more!

My soul yearns for you in the night;
in the morning my spirit longs for you.
When your judgments come upon the earth,
the people of the world learn righteousness.

Isaiah 26:9 NIV

Have wonderful day and God Bless you dear followers!

Organizing Life: Clothes Baggies

I have been searching for different ways to organize my world a little better. I've started a Home Organization Binder (I will give you more details later) and it came in handy this past weekend. I had set up meal plans and the girls' schedule were laid out while I was away for a Women's Church Retreat. Daddy didn't have to guess which food to feed the girls while I was gone which meant less stress for everyone.

I had also found a photo on Pinterest that suggested packing your kid's outfits in individual baggies for vacation trips, so you can just grab and go and not have to search out outfits in a suitcase. I wish I could remember where that photo came from, however, I just remember the concept. Well, I applied that concept to help my husband while I was gone. Since I normally make sure the girls are dressed, my husband is not super familiar where I keep the girls' clothes and which closes go to which girl. So, I decided to make life MUCH easier by setting up separate labeled baggies with outfits for each day, P.J.s, as well as an "extra" outfit in case they got dirty.
This plan worked out PERFECT! Less stress on Daddy AND the girls were clothed comfortably and matching the entire time I was gone. From now on I will ONLY use this method to pack for the girls, it worked out so well! Totally GENIUS!

Hope you all have a wonderful week dear followers!

Kids and Animals

My girls are attracted to animals like magnets! There is something about fur and feathers that sends their kiddie radar threw the roof. Little Sister always feels the need to try to chase my birds when she is out and Big Sister "needs" to grab a hold of and carry around any barn cat she can catch. Their father and I both have a love for animals as well and encourage their interested in them (minus the chasing).

Last weekend Goodies in Princeton, Indiana, a small town near by, invited a Traveling Petting Zoo to visit the public. We were able to stop by both Saturday night and Sunday after church to visit with the animals. The first animal we saw when we walked up as a beautiful Camel named Adar. He was a gentle giant. Big Sister and I were able to take a ride on the poky old guy Sunday! Saturday the first thing we did was get our pictures taken with a Lion Cub! I could not believe now much Little Sister's face lit up when the worker brought the cub over to sit in Big Sister's lap! They were both VERY excited! We continued on after our picture was taken with the cub, we looked at the White Tiger, Black Leopard, Ponies & Mule, Monkeys, Lemurs, Kangaroo, Siberian Tiger, Llamas, Miniature Cow, and Goats. Oh the GOATS! They had several pigmy goats that my girls just adored. They had grain available to feed the goats, so of course we HAD to feed to goats. The girls were just mesmerized by the little goats, I would almost bet that we spent 85% of our visit in front of those goats! I guess this means that we will be looking for pet pigmy goats in the near future, hehe.

We all had a great time and it was a fun little family outing. In the back of my mind I was using this as a "test run' to see if the girls were ready to go to the Mesker Park Zoo in Evansville. From our experience last weekend, I would say that they are definitely ready and I can't wait to take them!

Here are a couple scrapbook page that I put together of our visit to the Traveling Petting Zoo using My Memories Suite v3, enjoy!

God Heals!

Heal me, LORD, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise. Jeremiah 17:14 (NIV

Growing up I never really saw the healing power of God firsthand. Last month, however,  I witnessed it continuously and even experienced it firsthand. It is amazing and proof that God is alive and very present even in this crazy day in age!

Each Sunday last month church members were being healed. All had different ailments that they were ready to give to God. I found it amazing and unreal, even though I saw it with my own eyes and heard the testimony with my own ears.

I have had constant back pain for years, I've just been able to tune it out until the pain gets too bad. I never realized it until now, but the devil knows that pain is one of my big weaknesses. All he has to do is throw a little pain my way and I fall off the path that God wants me on. I let it rule over me and hope that it goes away soon, instead of looking to God for help.

Last Sunday, my back was hurting more than usual. I was fed up! I decided that I was too young to hurt this bad and I needed help. It was a big step for me to ask for prayer for myself, I always seem to want to pray for others and have others helped. I went up to the alter, the elders prayed, anointed me with oil, and my back was immediately pain free, Praise God. It was strange to me to feel no pain because I had been in pain for so long.

I have been unable to STOP telling everyone about my healing. I WANT this for others and I know that God wants to do it for other, all they have to do is humble themselves before God and ask for His help! It seems SO simple, but SO hard for so many people to do. I know, because it was hard for ME!

If you need healing, mentally, physically or spiritually, PRAY! Ask God for help, He WILL answer! But also remember that God's answers aren't always immediate, they may be "Not Yet" or "I have something better planned." Seek Him in everything you do and I KNOW you will be blessed!

Have a wonderful day!
