Verse: Hebrews 2:14-15 NLT
Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying.
What does this mean to me? I am a daughter of God, but as a human I am tainted by the sinful nature passed down to me through the line of Adam. I am saved from my sins because God gave me a marvelous gift, Jesus Christ his son, who paid the ultimate price for me! And because he was perfect, made perfect, only He could be the one to set me free from my sins. How wonderful it is that my sins are washed away because of Him. I am so thankful for the ultimate gift. Christmas is a time to reflect on that gift given to us, a precious baby that became more than just a man, God's son! Because He died for me and my sins, I want to do all that I can for Him and to further His Kingdom!
