Great Weekend, Good Life!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Allstate for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Last weekend I took a trip to Bloomington to watch my brother compete in hurdles at the High School Indiana State Finals in Track! The trip is about 2 1/2 hours long and I was thrilled that the girls slept the whole way there. We arrived early and decided to visit with Grandparents before the races. Thank goodness for good directions or I would have been wonderfing aimlessly through Bloomington. We had lunch, visited, and had an overall good time, then it was off to Indiana University to watch the track meet!

When we arrived, there were people and cars everywhere! Normally, I would have gotten a little freaked out. I am a country girl in every sense. I love the wide open spaces, little traffic, small crowds, and neighbor's that you can't throw a stone and reach their yard. So, as I arrived I almost went into panic mode, but realized all was good, I just needed to relax, and move on. I had no worries, I am living the Good Life!

Having a Good Life to me means being able to spend time with my family and friends and go places without worry, anxiety, or fear. I can enjoy the Good Life because we have taken steps to reduce the worry, anxiety, and fear in our lives. One way we have done this is by using Allstate and living the Allstate Good Life!

Allstate’s “Good Hands for the Good Life” is new and different for an insurance company. It has a voice of optimism and celebration vs. fear. The Allstate brand commercial tells the story of how there are risks everywhere, but we as people don’t let it hold us back from making our lives good. Allstate is an insurance company who works everyday to help build more good in the lives of their customers.

Allstate believes that the notion of the Good Life is inherently social; it is already taking place in people’s natural social conversations and now Allstate has permission to join in because they are an insurance company who creates more good vs. take care of the bad.

So, how does the story end? I promise, I'm not going to leave you hanging!

I parked the car and made my way to the stands just in time, there were just two races ahead of my brother's race. Family and friends were in the stands, we were on our feet as the shot was fired and the hurdlers took off. WOW was he fast! As he cleared each hurdle, the excitement grew and grew! My brother finished 16th place overall out of 29. Pretty good considering he is a Sophomore and most of the others were Seniors. We were all very very proud of him and I will always remember being able to be there to watch him, carefree!

Have a wonderful day dear followers!
